We believe in public education.
Do you?
Dear neighbors, parents, supporters, alums & friends:
We believe in public education. We think you do too.
We all know the future of Stamford's economic and social success is predicated on the health and growth of our public schools. Our population is complex, the academic needs are diverse. Ensuring success is challenging but achievable.
SPEF is engaged in facilitating the district’s new strategic plan—to establish the resources our students need to achieve their goals. Our programs will continue to be aligned with this vision, such as:
- Power Lunch Volunteers from Pitney Bowes, Elizabeth Arden and UBS work one-on-on 120 selected students in 2 schools to improve oral language and pre-reading skills It's the largest number of continuous volunteer hours of any SPEF-managed partnership program.
- Teaching Excellence With our corporate partners we purchased the technology required to convert 7 ordinary middle school math classrooms into fully equipped Smart Labs (Tablets, LCD Projectors, Smart Boards) serving hundreds of students per day.
- GE Foundation College Bound Conference SPEF is honored to be chosen as a parter in this extraordinary nationwide initiative to improve math & science instruction. Five selected communities, including Stamford, send their math & science professionals to learn cutting edge approaches to elevate classroom instruction and curriculum.
We’re asking you to make a donation SPEF so we can continue to make the connections our schools need and deserve. Choose to invest in our ability and determination to address the work that needs to be done.
Your contribution allow us the privilege to help our youngest citizens become the best and the brightest.
We thank you for your belief in us!
